Under the Localism Act 2011 all parish and town councillors are required to register and publish their disclosable pecuniary interests.
Under the Localism Act 2011 town and parish councillors are not legally required to declare their interests at a meeting but they must leave the meeting whenever business in which they have a disclosable pecuinary interest is considered. They cannot participate in debate or voting on these matters.
