Toad Patrol in Stratford Road

Date Added: 27/02/2017

The RSPB have flagged up that a number of toads are killed each year along Stratford Road in Sandy, despite it being a relatively quiet road with few car movements.

If you are a user of Stratford Road please be aware of migrating toads at this time of year.  The critical period seems to be the first couple of hours after dark when people are returning home from work and toads seem to be moving in greatest numbers.  Please note that the main area seems to be the far end of Stratford Road before it gives way to a private road/bridleway.
