Sandy Neighbourhood Watch Relaunched

Date Added: 01/03/2013

Over fifty people attended a community  meeting on Saturday 9 March 2013 at Sandy Baptist Church to find out more about Neighbourhood Watch in Sandy.  Police and Crime Commissioner Olly Martin attended the meeting along with representatives of Bedfordshire Police, Sandy Town Council and Central Bedfordshire Council.  Residents have been concerned about a recent rise in the incidence of domestic burglaries in the town and many feel it is time the community did more for itself to help tackle crime.    Relaunching Sandy Neighbourhood Watch will give new impetus to local community safety initiatives.
