Community Grants Awarded in Sandy
Date Added: 21/03/2013
In the last year over £5,000 has been awarded in small grants to different community groups working to make Sandy a better place. The grants have helped to provide facilities and activities for young people, old people and everyone in between. Groups have used the money for equipment, training and publicity.
Sandy Community First is a grant making panel composed of volunteers who live or work in Sandy. It makes grants on behalf of Sandy Town Council and on behalf of central government's Community First funding stream. The Sandy panel has awarded sums of between £100 and £1200 to local organisations in Sandy. The work of the panel is supported by Sandy Town Council, Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedfordshire CVS.
